Willemstad, Kurá Hulanda
Q1789475Museum dedicated to the past of Curaçao's "black" population. There's a nice department of African art, a department to slavery, and a department that tries to document the rise of civilization, called "lands of Abraham". This last department has some interesting objects, but the pseudoscientific theories of Cheikh Anta Diop are quoted without criticism. I have written a lot about it here (in Dutch). Still, there are cuneiform tablets, a portrait of a pharaoh, great ceramics from Iran, and Greek and Roman objects.
This museum was visited in 2014.
