- c.360?: Born, probably as member of a wealthy family in Spain; perhaps, her father was Flavius Claudius Antonius, who was to become praetorian prefect of Gaul
- 376: Marriage to Theodosius, a successful general who had retired to his country estates in Spain
- 377: Birth of Arcadius
- 378: Birth of Pulcheria
- 378: Theodosius made emperor in the eastern half of the Roman Empire
- In c.382, she was the first woman to be crowned empress since Constantine's mother Helena and sister
- 384, 9 December: Birth of Honorius
- She supported the Nicene Creed
- Pulcheria died before early 386
- Early 386: Death. The empress is buried in Constantinople
